Nutty Chocolate Squares Recipe Ingredients:
3/4 cup butter
2 ounces semi-sweet dark chocolate squares
1 1/2 cups graham cracker crumbs
1 cup coconut
1/2 cup toasted pecan pieces
2 – 8 ounces packages cream cheese, softened
1 cup granulated sugar
2 teaspoons vanilla
4 ounces semi-sweet dark chocolate squares
1/4 cup butter
Nutty Chocolate Squares Recipe Directions:
In a small saucepan melt 3/4 of a cup of butter and 2 ounces of the dark chocolate over medium heat stirring constantly.
Remove from heat and add the graham cracker crumbs, coconut and toasted pecans, mixing well.
Press dark chocolate crumbs firmly into the bottom of an 9 x 13 inch glass baking dish.
In a large mixing bowl combine the cream cheese, granulated sugar and vanilla.
Beat with electric mixer until smooth.
Spread cream cheese filling over the top of the dark chocolate crust.
Place baking dish in the refrigerator to chill for 30 minutes.
In a small saucepan combine the 4 ounces of dark chocolate and 1/4 cup of butter.
Cook over medium heat stirring constantly until chocolate is melted and mixture is smooth.
Pour melted chocolate over the top of the chilled bars.
Return to the refrigerator and chill 60 minutes or until ready to serve.
