Orange Walnut Cookies
Dry Ingredients:
1 -1/2 cups uncooked old fashioned oats
1 cup semisweet chocolate chips
1 cup packed light brown sugar
1/2 cup all purpose flour
1/2 cup coarsely chopped walnuts
1 Tbsp. grated orange peel
1/4 tsp. salt
1/4 tsp. baking soda

Orange Walnut Cookies Wet Ingredients:
1 jar of Orange Walnut Cookies dry cookie mix.
1/2 cup butter, softened butter or margarine (HINT: use butter, they sure taste better even if there are a few more calories. Geeze! You’re eating a cookie, not a piece of celery. Forget the diet for once!)
1 egg (lightly whipped with a fork in a small bowl.)
First, preheat oven to 380 degrees. Lightly grease cookie sheets.
In a large bowl, beat butter until smooth. Beat in egg until blended. (Mixture may appear curdled.) Add orange walnut cookies dry cookie mix, to butter mixture; stir until well blended.
Drop rounded tablespoonfuls of dough 2 inches apart onto prepared cookie sheets. Bake orange walnut cookies 8 to 12 minutes or until golden. (Watch them orange walnut cookies close, nobody likes burnt cookies.) Cool in cookie sheets for 2 minutes. Remove cookies to wire rack to cool completely.
