Oatmeal Chocolate Chip Cookies Recipe
These Oatmeal Chocolate Chip cookies will have both the adults and the children licking their lips in anticipation!
1 cup butter
1 cup granulated sugar
1 cup brown sugar, packed firm
2 large eggs
1 teaspoon vanilla
2 1/2 cups quick oats (oatmeal)
2 cups all purpose flour
1/2 teaspoon salt
1 teaspoon baking powder
1 teaspoon baking soda
1 – 12 ounce bag dark chocolate chips
1 cup walnuts, chopped fine
Oatmeal Chocolate Chip Cookies Preparation:
Preheat your oven to 400 °.
In a large bowl cream together the butter, granulated sugar and brown sugar until creamy. Add in the eggs and vanilla, mix well.
Add the oats, flour, salt, baking powder and soda, mix well. Add the dark chocolate chips and walnuts, stir.
Drop chocolate chip oatmeal cookie dough by rounded tablespoon onto greased pan.
Bake chocolate chip cookies until golden brown.
Cool slightly before removing cookies to wire racks.
Do not over bake.
Chocolate chip oatmeal cookies will be soft when you take them from the oven.
Recipe Yields: about 4 dozen cookies
