Chocolate Oatmeal Cookies Recipe
These oatmeal cookies will have both the adults and the children licking their lips in anticipation!
1 cup butter, softened
1 cup granulated sugar
1 cup brown sugar, firmly packed
1 1/2 teaspoons vanilla
2 large eggs
2 cups all purpose flour
1 teaspoon salt
1 cup quick oats (oatmeal)
2 cups chocolate chips
1 teaspoon baking soda
1 teaspoon baking powder
1 cup flaked coconut
Chocolate Oatmeal Cookies Preparation:
Preheat oven to 350° F.
In large mixing bowl, cream the butter and sugars together.
Add eggs and vanilla and blend again.
Sift the flour along with the salt, baking powder and baking soda, add into creamed mixture and mix well.
Stir in the oatmeal, chocolate chips and coconut.
Drop chocolate oatmeal cookies by rounded tablespoons onto parchment paper lined cookie sheet.
Bake oatmeal cookies for 10 to 12 minutes or until cookies are lightly brown.
Remove from oven and let the cookies cool a few minutes on the cookie sheet before moving them to a wire rack to finish cooling.
